5/24 — Drugs/Narcotics
1200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 2:12 a.m. officers responded to a report of narcotics usage. A business security officer had reported to police that a vehicle containing two females was parked at the location and they were using narcotics. On contact with the female occupants of the vehicle, it was determined that they had just used methamphetamine. Also found in the vehicle was methamphetamine and paraphernalia related to its use. The driver admitted to the sole possession of the contraband and was placed under arrest. She was transported to jail for booking.
5/24 — Criminal Mischief $100 to $750
400 block of Caymus Street
At 6:00 p.m. a victim reported that her vehicle was damaged by a possible known suspect. The driver side front tire was slashed.
5/25 — Burglary
800 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 12:45 p.m. an officer responded to a burglary report. Unknown person(s) cut a lock on a storage unit in an attempt to gain entry.
5/26 — Child Abuse
1000 block of Colonial Court
At 7:07 a.m. an investigator received a CPS report on possible child abuse. The case is under investigation.
5/26 — Death Investigation
1200 block of Cross Creek Drive
At 8:05 a.m. officers responded to a cardiac arrest call with the Fire Department. An adult female was found to be deceased. No foul play is suspected.
5/26 — Burglary
800 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 11:05 a.m. an officer responded to a burglary of a storage unit. Unknown person(s) cut the lock and removed personal property.
5/28 — Theft $100 to $750
1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 11:02 p.m. officers responded to a report of a beer theft at a business. While responding to the scene officers were advised that the call was now a stolen vehicle with a child inside. On arrival the child’s grandmother told officer that the beer theft suspects had fled in the vehicle while she was inside of the store. Further investigation revealed that the grandmother had driven the suspects to the location and was acquainted with them. One of the suspect cell phones was pinged to a location in Fort Worth. Fort Worth officers were nearby and responded. The suspect and child were observed nearby the vehicle, which was parked behind a car wash. The suspect fled, leaving the child behind, and eluded officers. The child was returned and the grandmother was escorted home by officers due to the car being impounded in Fort Worth. Later in the shift the vehicle owner was contacted and stated that his vehicle had been stolen.
5/29 — Disorderly Conduct (Obscene Language)
700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 5:58 p.m. officers responded to meet complainant call. A female reported that her two juvenile daughters were cursed at by their aunt. The juveniles were walking beside a roadway when the aunt allegedly drove by and used foul language toward them. A citation for disorderly conduct was issued to the aunt.
5/29 — Burglary
300 block of Bolen Road
At 5:29 p.m. an officer responded to a burglary of a storage unit report. A victim reported that unknown person(s) entered his storage unit and removed personal property.
5/27 — Open Container
7000 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 2:16 p.m. officers responded to an unresponsive male in a vehicle. On arrival a male was observed asleep in a vehicle. After waking the male up and interviewing him, it was determined that he was tired from working but not intoxicated. He had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle but had not consumed any of it before falling asleep. He was issued a citation for the open container and released.
5/29 — Criminal Mischief under $100
700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 10:50 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance. A victim reported that his vehicle window had been intentionally damaged by known suspects due to an earlier altercation. The suspects were not on scene for an interview.
5/30 — Theft $100 to $750
500 block of North Road
At 8:04 p.m. a victim reported that her daughter’s bicycle was stolen from their yard.
5/30 — Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
300 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road
At 9:02 p.m. a female victim reported that her husband had physically assaulted her during an argument. The victim refused to fill out paperwork and insisted on returning home to her children. The suspect was not on scene at the time.
