6/15 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
1200 block of Elmbrook Drive
At 9:18 a.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed person. An adult female was hallucinating about snakes and has a call history of such behavior. Officers determined that the female posed a threat to herself and/or others. The female was taken to JPS Hospital for an emergency mental detention and evaluation.
6/15 — Deadly Conduct (Discharge Firearm)
1300 block of Gilman Road
At 9:05 a.m. officers responded to a call of shots fired. A witness reported that a black truck and a white Ford Mustang pulled into the parking lot of the business. The Mustang stopped in a parking spot as truck pulled passed the Ford and stopped. The truck’s driver pointed a firearm out of the window and began shooting at the Ford. The Ford occupant exited the vehicle, walking toward the truck while returning fire. The two vehicle occupants, both males, stopped shooting and left before officers arrived. Multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene.
6/15 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
600 block of Ruth Drive
At 8:19 p.m. officers responded to an emotionally disturbed person. A female had attempted to harm herself in a strangulation attempt. The female was transported to JPS Hospital for medical treatment and an emergency mental detention and evaluation.
6/16 — Abandoned Vehicle
400 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 7:10 a.m. an officer responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the roadway. A Dodge Ram truck was parked in a traffic lane and no owner could be located. The vehicle was removed to impound.
6/15 — Arson (Vehicle)
300 block of Bolen Road
At 9:05 a.m. a victim reported that during the overnight hours unknown person(s) ignited a fire in the back seat of her vehicle.
6/19 — Possession Controlled Substance (PG 1 >=1G<4G)
200 block of Chateau Avenue
At 7:00 a.m. officers were investigating an injury accident involving a single vehicle. The driver, an adult female, suffered injuries requiring transport to the hospital. During the investigation the officers found methamphetamine in the vehicle.
6/19 — Reckless Damage or Destruction
1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 5:04 p.m. officers responded to a report of a hit and run accident. A truck pulling a trailer had struck a fire hydrant causing damage. The vehicle continued east on Kennedale Parkway and turned into a business. A witness called police and was able to lead officers to the vehicle. The driver admitted to striking some trees while talking on his cell phone but did not realize that he struck the hydrant. The driver was charged with reckless damage and failure to report an accident with a fixed object.
6/20 — Vehicle Accident
1200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 4:01 p.m. an officer received a report of a hit and run accident. A truck pulling a trailer had pulled out into traffic at a high rate of speed and caused another vehicle to strike the trailer. The truck continued on without stopping.
6/20 — Driving While Intoxicated
600 block of N. Little School Road
At 9:00 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The adult male driver appeared to have been drinking and was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. He was arrested for DWI. After being transported to jail, the male was booked in subsequent to a voluntary blood sample being drawn.
