Police Reports

9/13 —  Driving While Intoxicated
300 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 4:35 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle being operated on the wrong side of the road. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the operator, an adult male. The male smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage. He was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment, in part due to a communication issue. The driver was arrested for DWI and transported to a local hospital for a voluntary blood draw. The driver was booked into jail afterward.

9/13 —  Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence)
200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway
At 12:23 p.m. an officer responded to an assault in progress. On arrival, a female reported to the officer that she had been assaulted by a known female suspect, a former girlfriend. The victim reported that the suspect had struck her several times but did not exhibit any marks or injuries. A review of on-site security video revealed that the victim appeared in fact to be the primary aggressor and the listed suspect was actually the victim. The female continued to maintain her story even after being confronted with the video evidence. The other female was not present at the time of the report.

9/13 — Burglary
300 block of Bowles Court
At 3:33 p.m. a victim reported that her home was burglarized while she was out. A neighbor reported to the victim that a Ring camera showed that a male suspect parked in front of the residence. The suspect exited the vehicle and forced open the front door of the residence for entry. The suspect left several minutes later carrying a bag.

9/15 — Hit and Run Accident
600 block of Wildcat Way
At 7:08 p.m. a victim reported that his vehicle was struck by another vehicle while both were navigating the traffic roundabout. The suspect left the scene without stopping.

9/16 — Incident (Other)
600 block of Reeves Lane
Officers were dispatched to a report of a found handgun in a driveway. A suspect vehicle was located and the driver interviewed. No link could be established between the vehicle driver and the weapon. The driver was released at the scene pending further investigation.

9/16 — Death Investigation
300 block of S. New Hope Road
At 3:04 p.m. officers responded to a welfare check of a medical patient that could not be contacted. The patient, an older female, was discovered deceased in her residence. Death appeared to be from natural causes. No foul play is suspected at this time.

9/17 — Online Solicitation of a Minor (Under 14)
800 block of Woodland Court
At 3:00 p.m. an officer received a report of sexual photos of an adult male being sent to a minor female. The photos were sent via an app to the juvenile’s phone. The phone was voluntarily released to police from the juvenile’s guardian to be examined for more evidence.

9/18 —  Abandoned/ Found Property
900 block of Kennedale Sublett Road
At 8:19 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a minor accident. A vehicle had struck a traffic sign and was driving on the wrong side of the road. An adult male was operating the vehicle. The male had difficulty focusing and appeared mentally confused. Medics responded and transported the male to a local hospital for treatment. Several small bottles were found nearby that appeared to have some type of chemical substance residue in them. It was not known if the bottles came from the vehicle or not. The case is still under investigation.

9/19 — Criminal Mischief $100 to $750
100 block of Briarwood Road
At 6:46 p.m. officers responded to a criminal mischief report. Multiple males had been in a dispute with another male and damaged the male’s vehicle. The damage was part of an on-going dispute.
