UPDATE: Wednesday Trash and Recycling Collection Will Continue Thursday and Possibly Friday; No Service Expected Saturday
As expected, the volume of curbside trash collection has been significantly increased due to an inability to collect during the recent inclement weather. It is taking quite a bit more time to complete routes, and there is a likelihood that all collections scheduled for Wednesday will not be completed within the day.
**Please place all trash and recycling at the curb by 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.** The Wednesday routes will be continued on Thursday and possibly even Friday. That said, we do not expect trash to be collected on Saturday, February 27. We appreciate your patience as Waste Connections aims to catch up and return to the usual schedule of trash and recycling collections on Wednesday and trash collection on Saturdays.
Remember, if you have significant demolition or construction-related debris from the storm, Kennedale residents can drop off this type of waste once annually at no cost. The Fort Worth C&D Landfill does not, however, accept household garbage or food waste. You will need to bring a current driver’s license (or other government-issued ID) and a Kennedale utility bill to access the landfill at 4144 Dick Price Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76140. For any questions about what is accepted at the landfill, please call 817-516-7777. There is more information at www.cityofkennedale.com/trash.
