12/30: Deceased Person - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane - Officers responded at 12:59 p.m. with KFD personnel to a reported deceased person. The 58 year old male resident was found deceased by a family member. Death appeared to be of natural causes.

12/30: Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 1300 block of Bowman Springs Road - Officer reposnded at 4:16 p.m. to an abandoned vehicle report. Officer found the vehicle, a 2005 VW Jetta, wrecked in a ditch. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Arlington. The vehicle was impounded and held for APD.

12/31: Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 800 block of Pennsylvania - At 12:18 p.m. officer responded to a residence on a theft report. The victim reported that several pieces of jewelry had been removed from her residence. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. The missing jewelry was valued at $3,703.06. The victim listed two suspects who were not present at the time of the report.

01/02: Theft $500 to $1,500 - 6000 block of I-20 Service Road - At 11:20 a.m. victim came to Kennedale PD to report the theft of copper wiring and ballasts from billboard signage along the interstate. Total value of the missing property is $1,300.

01/02: Deceased Person - 800 block of Trent Street - At 12:34 p.m. officer responded with KFD personnel to a report of a deceased person. The victim, a 48 year old female, was found deceased by a friend. No foul play is suspected at this time.

01/03: Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway - At 8:29 a.m. an officer responded to a vehicle theft report. The victim reported that her 2000 Ford Mustang had been from her driveway during the overnight hours.

01/04: Theft $50 to $500 - 1400 block of J.R. Hawkins Road - At 3:29 a.m. officers responded to a suspicious person report from the location, which is a job site under demolition. A male suspect had been observed leaving the property on foot and the reporting person was able to follow him while calling police. The suspect was detained at Mansfield Cardinal Road and Eden Road. Officers were unable to determine at the time if anything had been stolen form the site. Later a property owner was able to verify that a large amount of steel shelving had been removed. The suspect did not have anything on him at the time of detention but was arrested for multiple warrants out of several cities.

01/05: Theft $1,500 to $20,000 - 800 block of Kennedale Parkway - At 8:44 a.m. a complainant reported to an officer that unknown person(s) removed a trailer valued at $5,000 from a work storage site on Kennedale Parkway. The trailer was stored in a locked fenced area and the lock was cut to gain access.

01/05: Identity Theft - 1000 block of Jake Court - At 9:46 a.m. victim reported that person(s) unknown opened several new cell phone accounts with Verizon under his (victim's) name. The victim was provided an identity theft packet.

01/05: Theft $500 to $1,500 - 1400 J.R. Hawkins Road - This report is a follow-up to the earlier report on 01/04/2013. A property owner was able to determine that a total of $720 in steel shelving was taken without consent.
