01/06 - DWI - 4500 block of Sublett Road: At 3:27 a.m. a white Chevrolet truck was observed to be traveling at a high rate of speed on Sublett Road, in the direction of the Arlington city limits. The observing officer was able to overtake the truck inside of Arlington's city limits and made a trafic stop at Sublett Road and Fernwood Street. The driver, a male, exhibited several traits of intoxication during the stop and was arrested. Upon refusing a breath test, a warrant was obtained for a mandatory blood draw. The male was booked into the Kennedale municipal jail without further incident.
01/06 - Credit/Debit Card Abuse - 1200 block of Forest Green Drive: At 9:53 a.m. an officer responded to a complaint of Credit/Debit card abuse. The complainant gave a Visa pay card to her then-boyfriend last year to make a purchase. The boyfriend never returned the card and made several unathorized purchases on it.
01/06 - DWI - 400 block of Dick Price: At 8:56 p.m. an officer observed a black Jeep SUV travelling at a high rate of speed on Dick Price Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer contacted the driver, a 42 year old female. A 34 year old male was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver, who smelled of alcohol, admitted to drinking earlier and had alcohol in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and gave a breath sample of 0.08 BAC. The passenger, who wasn't licensed, was picked up by a friend.
01/08 - Robbery - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 4:02 a.m. a Hispanic male suspect entered the QT and brought some merchandise to the front counter. The suspect engaged the clerk in conversation and then demanded money. The suspect threatened to shoot the clerk if she didn't open the register. The suspect left the scene prior to officers arriving in response to a call from the store. Footage from the store's video system was recovered and placed into evidence. Witnesses were also located who saw the supect get into a vehicle. The amount of money taken was undetermined at the time of the report.
01/08 - Criminal Mischief $500 to $1,500 - 500 block of Pennesylvania Avenue: At 11:36 a.m. an officer responded to a report of broken windows in a vacant home for sale. The damage was estimated at $600.
01/08 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 12:30 p.m. an officer responded to a complaint about three male suspects stealing beer. The suspects are believed to have been in the store multiple times, stealing beer each time. On one occasion one of the suspects re-entered the store about an hour after one of the thefts. The manager confronted him about the thefts and made him pay for the stolen beer. Video is being obtained for identification purposes.
01/09 - Criminal Trespass - 100 block of Joplin Road: At 6:45 a.m. officers responded to a complaint of a criminal trespass/ possible burglary in progress. On arrival officers discovered a Chevrolet truck stuck in mud on the property, which is a nursery business. A male was attempting to get the truck out of the mud. The male was detained while officers investigated the complaint. It was determined that the male had entered a barn located on the property to obtain equipment to get his truck out of the mud. The male suspect was arrested for burglary of a building.
01/10 - Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle - 400 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:49 a.m. a Fort Worth police detective called to ask for assistance in recovering a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a GMC pickup, was located at a residence on Kennedale Parkway. Officers recovered the truck and turned it over to the owner.
01/12 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 700 block of Timberline Drive: At 1:27 p.m. officers responded ot a report of a domestic disturbance. The dispute was between a 60 year old mother and her 24 year old daughter. The dispute started as a verbal argument but escalated to a physical confrontation with the mother striking the daughter. The mother, who was uncooperative and belligerent to officers, refused to exit the house for several minutes. When she finally came out she was arrested and charged with the assaultive conduct.
01/12 - Missing Person - 100 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 1:35 p.m. a 33 year old male called to report his 29 year old wife missing. The wife, who is 8 months pregnant, had left the residence on foot after having an argument with her parents, who also live at the home. The missing female was not located in the area and was entered as missing into the national database.
