01/20 - Theft $50 to $500 - 400 block of Rolanda: At 2:02 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a disturbance at the location. On arrival the complainant stated that his ex-wife had entered his residence through a window and removed property and cash without his consent. The suspect was not present at the time of the report.
01/20 - Hit and Run Accident - 6300 block of Treepoint: At 9:29 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a minor accident. On arrival officers observed a motorcycle on its side in the roadway. The victim stated that he had been stopped in the eastbound turn lane when he felt something strike his Honda Civic. He observed a male at the passenger side of his vehicle grab a bag and run into some apartments at Treepoint and Little School Road. Officers located a witness who advised that he saw the motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Treepoint. The suspect appeared unable to stop before laying the motorcycle down and hitting the rear bumper of the Honda. The witness reported the operator got up and ran into the apartment complex. The suspect was not located. The motorcycle was impounded.
01/22 - Animal Bite - 800 block of Shady Creek Drive: At 4:09 p.m. an officer met at the police station with a complainant on a dog bite report. The complainant, who was also the victim, stated that while working on his back yard fence, the neighbor's dog jumped up and bit him on his hand. He received treatment at USMD Hospital in Arlington. The victim provided the officer with a a bite treatment report from the hospital. The animal's owner, who wasn't at home during the incident, was contacted and advised that the animal needed to be quarantined. The animal's rabies registration was current.
01/23 - Theft Under $50 - 300 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 2:00 p.m. the victim reported to an officer that during the Christmas holidays, he experienced a theft of a shovel from his property on Mansfield Cardinal Road. The victim was accompanied by a witness who stated that he observed a suspect drive onto the property, which is vacant, and remove the shovel from the front porch. The tool was valued at $2.00.
01/24 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 100 block of Joplin Road: At 5:40 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call. The complainant arrived home to discover a Budget truck in his driveway. The truck did not belong to him. A check of the license plate showed the truck to be stolen out of Haltom City. The vehicle was impounded to be held for Haltom City police.
01/24 - Public Intoxication - 700 block of Paula Lane: At 9:00 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. The driver, a male, had been drinking and was unable to successfully complete a sobriety test. A breath test was administered with a result just below the 0.08 threshold for DWI intoxication. The driver was issued a citation for public intoxication due to his impaired condition.
01/26 - DUI Minor - 1200 block of Little School Road: At 2:09 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. Upon contacting the driver, a 20 year old male, an odor of alcohol was observed about the driver's person. The officer determined that the driver was intoxicated based on observations during a sobriety test. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI Minor and booked into the municipal jail.
01/26 - Assault (Bodily Injury) Family Member - 440 block of Danny Drive: At 3:40 p.m. officers responded to a report of a disturbance. On arrival they made contact with 34 year old female who reported that her parents had been in an altercation. Upon contacting the victim, a 52 year old male, the officers were informed that his spouse had struck him during an argument. The victim had several cuts on his face and nose. The spouse, a 51 year old female, was extremely intoxicated and highly agitated toward officers. She also had a cut to her face. The female was uncooperative and physically impaired to the point of not being able to care for herself. It was determined through the two involved parties, as well as a witness, that the primary aggressor was the female. She was arrested for assault of a family member (bodily injury) and transported to municipal jail for booking.
