02/03 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 1200 block of Little School Road: At 12:45 a.m. an officer made a traffic stop for an equipment violation. During the stop the officer located a small amount of marijuana and a grinder used to process the drug. The driver was cited for drug paraphernalia and released.
02/04 - Simple Assault - 400 block of North Road: At 4:27 p.m. officers were dispatched to a missing person report. After arriving it was determined that the incident had been misreported due to an over-reaction by family members. A 22 year old female stated that she and her 24 year old boyfriend had gotten into a disagreement over him trying to discipline her child. The argument led to both persons slapping each other. The boyfriend left shortly afterward to walk to the store with the children. The boyfriend was arrested for an outstanding warrant from the Arlington Police Department. He and the female were each cited for assault of a family member.
02/04 - Dog Bite Report - 500 block of North Road: At 11:00 p.m. a 45 year old female reported that she had been walking when she was bitten on the hand by a pit bull. A report was taken and referred to Animal Services.
02/05 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 12:53 a.m. officers were dispatched to a report of a fight in progress. On arrival it was determined that the male victim, who did not live at the address, had been assaulted by his step-father and his step-grandmother while trying to visit his mother. Both were charged with the assault.
02/05 - Burglary of a Building - 400 block of Mt. Pleasant Ct.: At 10:49 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a burglary. The location is a new home under construction. Person(s) unknown removed the copper air conditioning tubing at an unknown time overnight. The home had no doors and was not securable at the time of the offense.
02/05 - Theft $50 to $500 - 300 block of Little School Road: At 3:57 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a reported theft of an out of state license plate. The plate was stolen from a motorcycle that had been parked under the carport of the residence. The plate was issued by the state of Florida.
02/06 - Criminal Mischief $500 to $1,500 - 300 block of Creekwood Ct.: At 12:29 p.m. an officer responded to a report of damage to a vehicle. The vehicle, a Volvo semi tractor, was parked over night while the driver visited the residents on Creekwood Court. At the time of the report, the driver noticed that the front passenger tire had been punctured flat and the passenger door lock was damaged due to tampering. The damage was estimated at $1,000.
02/06 - Theft $50 to $500 - 900 block of Wildcat Way: At 5:07 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a stolen cell phone at Kennedale High School. The phone was stolen from a locker room while the owner was involved in an extra curricular event.
02/06 - Public Intoxication - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:20 p.m. an officer responded to a report of an intoxicated person at a convenience store. The arrested person was observed passed out in his vehicle by an Arlington police officer, who requested a Kennedale officer. It was determined that the arrested person, a 32 year old male, was intoxicated on prescription medication. He was arrested and transported to the municipal jail for booking.
02/08 - Assault Bodily Injury (Family Member) - 300 block of Spring Branch Lane: At 8:02 a.m. officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. On their arrival, the 26 year old female victim reported that she and her 26 year old husband had gotten into an argument. The suspect had thrown an object at her, hitting her in the eye and face. The victim displayed evidence of the assault. The suspect left the residence prior to the officers arriving, possibly taking a handgun with him. Attempts to contact the suspect at a neighbor's house as well as by cell phone were unsuccessful. A warrant will be issued for his arrest.
02/08 - Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle - 700 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 10:35 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle with three male occupants pull into a convenience store and go inside. A check of the license plate showed the vehicle as stolen out of Cleburne. Officers went into the store and made contact with the occupants. The driver, a 31 year old male, was arrested for operating the stolen vehicle. The other two occupants had outstanding warrants and were arrested. all three were transported to the municipal jail for booking.
02/09 - Possession of Controlled Substance - 6300 block of Treepoint Drive: At 4:50 a.m. an officer observed a suspicious vehicle at a car wash on Treepoint Drive. Upon contacting the occupants, a 26 year old male and a 19 year old female, it was discovered that the male had outstanding warrants from Kennedale P.D. and he was arrested. Due to the fact that the female, who was not arrested, had no drivers license the vehicle was impounded. During the inventory of the vehicle officers discovered methamphetamine as well as unprescribed Hydrocodone and Xanax pills. The driver was charged with possession of the narcotics.
02-09 - Criminal Mischief $50 to $500 - 1300 block of Gilman Road: At 5:15 a.m. an officer responded to a complaint of damaged property. A security guard for the property, a manufacturing plant, reported that an unknown vehicle had rammed a gate on the property. Entry was not made and the vehicle was gone at the time of the discovery.
02/09 - Abandoned Vehicle - 1100 block of Kennedale Parkway: At 8:47 a.m. an officer responded to a report of an abandoned ATV. The property owner had found the vehicle in a ditch. It did not belong to him; registration indicated the owner to be out of Springtown, Texas. The vehicle was towed as abandoned.
02/09 - Burglary of a Building - 1200 block of Kennedale Parkway:At 2:56 p.m. an officer responded to a report of two stolen ATV vehicles from the property. The vehicles had been inside the business and were taken overnight. The vehicles were valued at $1,459.
02/09 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle - 100 block of Pine Meadows:At 4:40 p.m. an officer observed two males standing with an ATV matching the description of one of the stolen vehicles reported earlier that day. Further investigation indicated that the males obtained the vehicle from three juveniles who live in the neighborhood. The vehicle was recovered and released to the owner. The investigation continues into the offense.
