This board advises and formulates recommendations to the City Council for the use, improvement, and growth of parks and recreation activities within the city. The board is also responsible for the development and implementation of community events. Regular Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
KKB engages residents and businesses to take greater responsibility for improving the community’s appearance and environment; and develop beautification events, programming, and outreach. The membership of KKB also serves as the Tree Advisory Board and the Tree City USA liaison.
KKB is a Keep Texas Beautiful’s (KTB) affiliate. The KTB mission is to educate and engage Texans to take responsibility for improving their community environment. Efforts are focused in three major areas: litter prevention, beautification, and waste reduction.
Drawing will be held, if needed, for placement of names on the ballot for the May 6, 2023 election.
