Kennedale Municipal Court

Overview

The Kennedale Municipal Court is a court of record and a judicial branch of city government. The Municipal Court interprets and adjudicates applicable state laws and supports the local community by providing efficient and effective services through the promotion of justice. The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over Class C misdemeanors issued by Kennedale Police officers, Code Compliance officers, Animal Control officers, and the Fire Marshal.

We are committed to upholding the integrity of the judicial process while serving the citizens of Kennedale with professionalism, efficiency, and respect.

Payment must be in the form of a credit card (transaction fee applies), cash, cashier's check, or money order. No personal checks will be accepted for payments of warrants.

We urge you to contact the court if you are unable to pay the amount owed without undue hardship to yourself or your dependents. You will not be subject to arrest if you have active warrants but are taking steps to resolve them in a civil manner. Our goal is to help you; not put you in jail.  You may request a hearing before a judge to consider your ability to pay and request any non-monetary compliance options available to you. You should be prepared to explain and document your financial situation to the court.  The Kennedale Municipal Court continues to be a Safe Harbor Court, which means that anyone may appear in court with an identification at any time to resolve their outstanding cases without the fear of being arrested for Kennedale Municipal Court Class C warrants.
